Hello, nice to meet you!
I am renting out my 59,4 sqm two rooms apartment in the lovely area of Skarpnäck, south of Stockholm, for six months.
The apartment has been renovated almost completely four years ago: walls and ceilings have been plastered and painted with high quality colors (the brand is Flügger-Färg). The wooden floor has also been renovated.
It is equipped with insulated windows and the valves of the heaters have just been replaced. It is a warm and cozy apartment in winter. I am in the process of replacing all the blinds.
The apartment has a fast internet connection of 200/100 Mbps over 802.11ac wave 1.
ROOMS
The big living room has a sofa-bed, a 32 inches tv, a SONOS audio player with Dali speakers, a bluray player and a Kodi raspberry-pi for media. The TV is not connected to the antenna.
The bedroom has a big 180cm wide bed with memory foam mattresses on wooden slats and is furnished with a small desk and some wardrobes.
The kitchen is the original with new panels on the drawers and doors, equipped with a fridge-freezer and an integrated oven-hob (the oven has fan-forced air convection and the hob is glass-ceramic), bought 4 years ago.
It is fully furnished with the usual dishes, forks, glasses, pans, pots, water boiler, toaster, knives, pizza slicers, pyrex dishes, etc. There is a wooden chopping board and a wider board for baking.
It has no microwave or dishwasher, unfortunately.
The bathroom is the original, rational and spacious, with a bathtub and a clothes hanger on top of it. There is a washing machine, as you can see, but it is not connected to the power and to the draining. I recommend using the tvättstuga at the bottom floor: two brand new driers (tumbler and wardrobe style) and two washing machines, one of which is brand new as well, guarantee the best results.
The apartment is at the second floor in a very quiet area. Most neighbours are families or people who have been living here for a long time.
It is part of a big cooperative of around three hundred apartments, divided in tree ”gardens”. Each garden has a shared building in the middle: festlokal (for parties or dinners, very big, can hold thirty people and has its own kitchen. Please use that for parties, it’s better 🙂 ), a shared apartment for guests, and a gym/sauna place. In addition, you have a workshop with saws, workbenches and powertools.
Those rooms can be rented at a very reasonable cost (check https://www.navigatoren.se/?rID=1083, ”Gemensamhetsutrymmen” section).
It faces south and gets light from east to west to two sides. The light comes in through the many windows and bathes the small but lovely balcony, where you can watch the garden from above. The trees in front are home to magpies, nesting all year round.
The apartment comes with a klädkammare, plus there is a storage area under the roof. I will leave the klädkammare empty for you to use but store some stuff in the roof storage area. You will get access to that too, I hope you don’t mind sharing, else I do not know where to put my stuff!
AREA
The area is very calm and safe and is served by a nearby ICA Nära, a Coop (10 min walk), a Hemköp (12-15 min walk), some small shops and cafès and the Kulturhuset-bibliotek.
Skarpnäck is surrounded by nature: there are some woods just behind the house and Nackareservatet is 10-15 minutes by walk. Altasjön and the pretty Flatenbadet are close as well.
The UNESCO-listed cemetery of Skogskyrkogården is within walking distance (15 mins)
In general, Skarpnäck is an excellent example of urban planning and cohexistence between human settlements and nature.
CONNECTIONS
Connections abound: the Tunnelbana station is at 7-10 minutes walking distance from the apartment and the subway reaches Skanstull in 12 minutes and T-Centralen in 19 minutes. There is a bus stop with two lines just outside the apartment, both of them taking you to the station, if you don’t feel like walking.
In addition, one of these lines goes to Farsta Strand and Farsta Centrum (21 min by bus).
Many busses leave the bigger bus station of Horisontvägen (10 min walk from apartment) taking you in many areas south of Stockholm (Älvsjö, Tyresö, IKEA Kungens Kurva).
In case you have a car, Skarpnäck is nearby road 73, taking you to Nynäshamn or Stockholm.
NOTES
Due to the limited amount of rooms and the presence of a new wooden floor I am unfortunately not able to accomodate owners with pets or families with kids.
Stuff breaking is really no big deal but I would prefer to avoid! I hope you will understand, it is nothing personal.
I LOVE this apartment, it has a lot of personal value and I am sure you will love it too.
